The first steps at Instituto Superior Técnico for new students are taken remotely through enrollment, which can be done online from the third week of August on the Connect platform. Later, from 1 to 3 September, various in-person welcoming activities will take place at Alameda and Oeiras campi during Welcome Week.
Registration and Signing in:
Before starting the registration process, students must create an online profile in the Connect platform. We recommend performing this process by using the Digital Mobile Key associated with the Citizen Card, so that registration can be completed more simply and autonomously. The Digital Mobile Key can be requested at the Autenticação.Gov portal.
The registration process will take place from 9 a.m. on the first day to 5 p.m. on the last day, as follows:
- Undergraduate Programmes (National Call): from 25 to 28 August (1st Call), from 15 to 17 September (2nd Call) and from 1 to 3 October (3rd Call)
- Undergraduate Programmes (Students Aged over 23): from 25 August to 1 September

Welcome week
During Welcome Week, which takes place from 1 to 3 September, the new students will visit the campi and will be welcomed by the Técnico community. Students will meet their mentors, course coordinators, the Students’ Union, the Students’ Organisations, tutors and the Governing Bodies.
During these days and also on the weekend (6 and 7 September), the new students will have the opportunity to participate in several cultural activities to get to know the city of Lisbon and their future colleagues.
Family members and guardians of new undergraduate students (National Call) will also have the opportunity to participate in a Welcome Session for Families on the day their students are welcomed. The event will take place in the Main Building at 10 a.m. Registration is required.
The welcome activities for students admitted through the 2nd Call take place on 16 and 17 September. For students admitted through the 3rd Call, the welcome activities will be carried out together with the Student Support Office, on a date to be determined.
