The Técnico students remained committed to their projects despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The CA2ECTécnico Award ceremony took place this Monday, 23rd November. A total of €12,000 has been awarded by Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD).
“I would like to thank Caixa Geral de Depósitos for this support and for this long-standing partnership”, said the Técnico president, professor Rogério Colaço, who also congratulated the students and highlighted the importance of extracurricular activities. “Extracurricular activities are extremely important, particularly for your training, but also for our School. “One thing that sets us apart from our national counterparts is the work and projects developed by the student groups. For me, as Técnico president, it’s very stimulating and rewarding to be here today”.
Engineer Rui Lima, Head of Retail Marketing at CGD and Técnico alumnus (Industrial Engineering and Management), stressed the importance of these activities developed by students, and expressed his satisfaction “it has been 20 years since I graduated from Técnico and I see that it continues to innovate. Students are able to develop their ideas and projects in these difficult times. I hope we may continue to support your projects for many years to come, and continue to strengthen our partnership with Técnico”.
The team members presented their projects, shared their ideas and explained how the award will help them to achieve their goals. “We would like to thank Técnico and Caixa Geral de Depósitos for this support, without which we wouldn’t be able to develop these projects”, said André Correia, FST Lisboa Team Leader.
“I would like to reiterate our thanks for this support and partnership, which we hope to continue improving”, said the Vice-president of Técnico for Financial Management and member of CA2ECTécnico jury, Doctor Isabel Dias, who also congratulated the students.
